Hi! My name is Shannon Peterson. I have been a piano teacher for over 8 years and playing piano myself for over 20 years. My passion is inspiring students to draw upon their strengths to play songs that they love while building a strong musical foundation. I have experience teaching piano enthusiasts ranging from 3 years old to high school age as well as adults to seniors. Each age group presents its own unique set of benefits. I am Musikgarten certified and have attended Palomar College where I received education in psychology, child development, and music theory. I spent time volunteering at a facility specializing in physical, occupational, and speech therapy. I recently moved to San Diego from Temecula where I was Preschool Music Director for a studio that won Best Music Education Center of 2019 and 2020. I now enjoy teaching in East County San Diego.
